Dandy Shoe Care Adding a Splash of Colour
September 17, 2014
It would appear that these days, the idea of the stylised patination of shoes is becoming more and more prevalent within the footwear industry. Imbuing classic style shoes with modern design ideas is one of my absolute favourite concepts as I love the designs of yesteryear but I find that the idea of being limited to those classic colour offerings of black, brown, tan, and the like, can sometimes be quite boring.
It is therefore refreshing and inspiring to see someone daring to put a new spin on a classic concept. I feel that this is yet another step in the right direction of smartening everyone up and, in particular, getting out of this mentality that only black should be worn for business.
So… where can you witness this coming together of the old and the new? Swedish shoe retailer Skoaktiebolaget has teamed up with the ever famous Alexander Nurulaeff of Italian design house, Dandy Shoe Care, to offer their customers the chance of putting a modern spin on a delightfully classic shoe design.
And what, might you ask, did they come up with? How about a classic Carmina shoe available in luxurious Forest Green, Deep Red, or Grand Reserve colours. I must say that, although all of the colours are glorious, the Forest Green is my particular favourite!!
Retailing at around $570, the shoes are available from the Skoaktiebolaget online store. I would hurry though, numbers are limited and the shoes are selling fast.
