Some days you need a pair of shoes that look good enough to eat, and for those days, there’s Shoe Bakery.

This tasty looking concept, from American designer Chris Campbell, is simple: if you have a love for confectionery and footwear (and who doesn’t?), then why not combine the two to create eye-catching and sexy shoes that look like cakes.
The results can be a little confusing though. Take a look at the picture below. I’m not sure whether I want to wear them or reach for a fork!

Chris started out selling his unique footwear through Etsy, but customer demand quickly rose and he has found himself having to branch out with his own branded e-commerce website - shoebakery.com - which currently offers two collections: Cakes, and Ice-cream.

“My love for shoes came with the passion for being unique,” says Chris on his website.
“All our products are handmade. Every last detail is paid attention to. We can create custom one of a kind designs to suit your needs or we can create a copy of something you have seen in our gallery.”
Prices range from $70 to around $250 for a pair of shoes from the online store or, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can commission Shoe Bakery to design your own pair.
I would say it’s worth buying a pair just to Instagram, let alone wear. Of course, you could always slip them on and then pop along to your nearest bakery to get your sugary carb fix for the week.
